The NBA Semi-finals is just simply exciting and classic. All the games thus far were mostly decided by 5 points or less with each teams really battling hard to try to win every game. But which teams really do have an advantage in the series? Well here’s my take:
Orlando vs. Cleveland –> Before the series started I, my friends, analysts and whoever almost picked Cleveland to win it in 5 games, 6 at most. Why not? Cleveland is just smoking and they’re for real! Their invincibility started to fade when the series started. One thing Orlando enjoys immensely in the series is the advantage in matchups. Magic players are simply quicker, more active, has greater depth. The Cleveland doesn’t really have shot-blockers (where’s Big Ben) to defend the interior and they’re having headaches in figuring out on who to guard players like Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu. But anyway overall Cleveland still has the upperhand in this one (especially after getting away w/a win in game 2). The only thing they need to learn is to protect big leads. Other than that, they’d be fine.
Denver vs. LA –> In all of their games, Denver always seemed to get the most out of Lakers until they do something that sucked (4th quarters). We can all agree that the Lakers are underachieving in playoffs and not performing fully yet to their potential. Yet they still managed to get in the conference finals. Denver, on the other hand is a team that is smoking! They play on a high level, they have a great team cohesion and their best players are doing well (Anthony, Billups, Martin). I would really like to believe that Denver has the advantage but my instincts tell me Lakers would win the series.
That’s my take, what’s yours?

4 Comments so far. Leave a comment below.well w/orlando winning the 3rd game kinda convincingly I think they now got the upperhand. Yes they do because LBJ and co. just got lucky to win game 2
No answer for D. Howard! Pietris is playing great too!
This is completely retarded. the truth is I really see very few reasons why Cleveland can beat Orlando… The macthups problems are just too much for the Cavs. In the past previous series James ddidn’t need to defend that much and in this series its obvious he’s getting more tired and exhausted… Not only with the fact that he needs to put his team on his shoulder but also on guarding either Turk or Lewis. I feel the Cavs just are lacking the firepower to matchup against a more athletic team like Orlando
yep I also thought of that when writing the article. The truth is its really hard to discount a team that has LeBron james, even if he’s the only one kicking in his team. I once remembered when cleveland went to the finals couple of years back. It was like he proved that ‘one’ man can bring a team to success.. i know its retarded but just what i feel..
