Steve Nash Leaving Phoenix?

There’s been a huge speculation going around that Steve Nash may not be back next season as the Phoenix top notch guard. Suns owner Robert Sarver said in an interview that he might just break the Suns core lineup this offseason. The Suns look like they are not playing this April for playoffs as injuries continue to halt their game.

There’s speculation the Suns, expected to miss the playoffs, could use an early termination clause to release point guard Steve Nash this summer and save $7 million on his 2009-2010 wage. Nash would have to play for the $5.9 million mid-level exception but wants to come to New York.

Hmmm, New York again? Seriously, if NY can have Steve Nash next year for a bargain (which is what Nash always gives) , then have either one of the great dudes at 2010, I think it can turn their franchise 360 degrees! Mike’s a great coach and I believe NY has the best owner in Dolan and management in Walsh. Let’s see, im getting pretty excited here…

  1. Where is that quote from? Not sure why the Suns would let him walk when they can easily trade him and get something in return. A trade is likely, an all out release does not make sense.

  2. Jake,

guess what? the stupid rumor came from the new york post themselves. what more to expect from them?

  3. First of all: R.C. Buford (Spurs) is the best GM in the NBA. Besides that, I really wonder what the Suns will do this summer…..

  4. Melvin,
