Here’s to continued rebuilding… Free Agents Andre Miller and Theo Ratliff skip Sixers final meeting after loss.

I had high hopes that Philly would finally pull together a solid team. Andre Miller, Igoudala, and Elton Brand all healthy with up and coming Thaddeus Young made a solid core to build around. Since this last year was plagued with injuries it was hard for them to pull everything together. I was looking forward to see what they could do next year!

Anyways, now it looks like Andre Miller and Theo Ratliff probably won’t be back for the 76′ers. Here’s to continued rebuilding…

via NBA.com via PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Andre Miller and Theo Ratliff have skipped the final Philadelphia 76ers’ team meeting a day after they were eliminated from the Playoffs.

Miller and Ratliff were both absent from Friday’s meeting. Neither player offered team president Ed Stefanski an excuse. Stefanski says he has not been in touch with either player. Miller and Ratliff are both unrestricted free agents.

Ratliff criticized the Sixers’ coaching staff after their 114-89 Game 6 loss to the Orlando Magic. Sixers coach Tony DiLeo says he doesn’t agree with any of Ratliff’s complaints about the staff. DiLeo says the Sixers were prepared and focused heading into their final game of the season.

Stefanski and DiLeo held individual meetings with the rest of the team on Friday.

  1. Melvin,

well its kinda hard to see philly losing against a howard-less Magic. Anyway Im a fan of Andre Miller but I guess they have to part ways for the betterment of each of them. Next season I suggest philly to get a great coach

  2. I hope Philly doesn’t gp back to mediocrity again. They’re a team with some future, but something has to happen this off-season. New coach or not?

  3. Greatings, Not sure that this is true:), but thanks for a post.

  4. I highly doubt Miller returns unless he comes back for some unforseen amount of money. Philly should have never traded for Brand. bleh!
