Another NBA journeyman Ronald Murray agreed to a one year deal with the Charlotte Bobcats. This will be Murray’s 7th team and Larry Brown believed getting a caliber of player like Murray is a good acquisition especially this late part of the offseason.
The move gives the Bobcats a versatile veteran who can play both guard positions. Brown was looking for someone who could play point guard behind Raymond Felton and D.J. Augustin and could also score off the bench. Charlotte ranked last in the league in scoring last season.
Murray averaged 12 a game off the bench in Atlanta uniform and is expected to do the same in Charlotte. Flip has been an explosive scorer allthroughout his career although other factors like inconsistency and attitude have hindered him from becoming a better player. Before I used to wonder why not so many teams go after this guy. I mean he’s an explosive scorer, someone who provides stability off the bench and is an experience player overall. Anyways, getting additional talent is still a plus factor for any NBA team and that’s what the Bobcats did.
