Finally the Regular Referees Are Back

Finally the NBA and regular referees have reached an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement that would put back the referees to officiating this coming NBA season, Reuters reported.

“We are looking forward to our regular referees ratifying the agreement that we reached and being back on the court on Tuesday,” – Stern said.

The referees are expected to start when the season starts. We could remember the league and the referees on not agreeing on a contract that forced Stern to use replacement referees. The substitute refs drew mixed reaction from players, to coaches all over the league. Most think it’s retarded and they highly criticized the use of the replacement refs while some other were satisfied with it.

In my opinion I think this is a big development for the league. I’m sure a lot of people are happy that the regular referees are back and hopefully they can be able to stay for long. What do you think?
