Drew Gooden Going Somewhere

Drew Gooden has been released by the Sacramento Kings and he’s now eligible to sign for a serious playoff contender this season. Drew Gooden was acquired by Sacramento in a trade that sent former All-Star Brad Miller to the Chicago Bulls.

Among those who are interested in signing him are the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks. Cleveland Cavaliers on the other hand are chasing for the other quality big man named Joe Smith. Gooden is a great frontcourt depth and if Spurs have managed to sign him, this is crucial for them. The Spurs are badly lacking inside depth. With Tim Duncan having some injuries and needing some rest, Gooden’s addition to the team can do well especially in the Western Conference where quality biggy is never a scarcity.

Good luck to the team that signs Gooden!
